This Calgary or Vancouver office location specializes in small to mid-sized projects for clients across Canada. The types of clients we work for include:

POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently searching for a Document Control Coordinator to oversee and maintain engineering records and information in a project-driven environment. This role will correspond with and receive general guidance from the Document Control Lead
And the Manager of Project Services, and other members of the Document Control Team who are working in both Calgary and Vancouver offices. You will be joining a large and supportive team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Attending new project kick-off meetings on behalf of Document Control to relay critical information to the project team.
Be the specific Focal for a Client and/or project from beginning to close-out.
Build excellent working relationships with Document Control counterparts on the Client Side
Performing quality assurance checks and ensuring that distributed documentation adheres to company and client standards.
Record and track internal and external distribution of documents, prepare transmittals and ensure the timely transfer of electronic files to and from other consultants, our project team, and various subcontractors and vendors.
Assignment and control of drawings and asset identification numbers.
Filing of electronic documentation
Assist in evaluating work procedures for potential process improvement.
Update Sharepoint sites with new or current standards as received.
Staying cognizant of the overall project budget and remaining deliverables/tasks, be sure to relay this information to your lead regularly.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to multitask and manage a varied workload.
Detail-orientated, confident, and resourceful.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work well in a team-orientated environment.
Experience working in an engineering environment is an asset.
Publishing and editing skills are an asset.
Experience working with clients such as Suncor, CNRL, and Syncrude is an asset.
SOFTWARE AND SYSTEMS
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Microsoft Sharepoint
Experience working with databases and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) sites such as Livelink, eB, Aconex, Sharefile, Hightail, OneDrive, McLaren, Extranet, TDocS
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / REQUIREMENTS
A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. A copy of a valid work permit may be required.
If you are considered for the position, clearance on all applicable background checks (which may include criminal, identity, educational, and/or credit) and professional reference checks are required. Some Tetra Tech positions require an enhanced level of background assessment, which is dictated by law. These positions require advanced criminal record checks that must also be conducted from time to time after commencement of employment.
To meet the physical demands required of some positions, candidates must be in the good physical condition and willing to work in all weather conditions.
Periodic travel within Canada to client sites and regional Tetra Tech offices will be required
Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing and background checks may be required for our client worksites
Must be able to adhere to our Office Vaccination & Covid Policies. We will be confirming your eligibility to comply with these requirements.
Current Working Environment: Hybrid Working Arrangement (In office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & work from home: Monday, Friday)
