DESCRIPTION: We are currently looking for an individual to join our dynamic estimating team. This person will be trained to become an MEP estimator and will work on design-build projects in collaboration with our development and construction departments. In this role, you will learn the basics of design-build and be guided by a hands-on management team. The Estimation department has a unique and united culture in which you can grow your career. Come join the team! RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare cost estimates on conceptual work, design-build, and general tenders. Review tender specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and estimate details. Prepare tender documents and plan packages for tenders. Be the liaison with subcontractors for calls for tenders and follow up on them. Analyze calls for tenders from subcontractors and make recommendations if necessary. Analyze design options and recommend the best solutions based on cost, technical quality, or material availability. QUALIFICATIONS: Mechanical and/or electrical engineering degree 0-3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry Excellent organizational and planning skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical skills Strong computer skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Bilingualism (French, English), is mandatory.
