Trade school certificate or license required in the following field: Journeyman's Permit - Electricity MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Subject to company policy and legal licensing requirements: Perform work in accordance with established practices and processes. Comply with all internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. Perform regular monitoring and inspection of the facility, as well as mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure that the uptime objectives of the facility, as well as maintaining customer business continuity and asset integrity for the assigned facility. Provide observations on conditions and deficiencies, as well as mechanical and electrical equipment and systems of the facility, and make recommendations with respect to improvements and repairs. Provide oversight of assigned facility by conducting walk-throughs, checks, and inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems within the limits of company policy and relevant trade school certification; oversee service providers. Respond to regular and one-time service requests, and provide preventative and corrective maintenance to facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems within the limits of company policy and school certificate of relevant professions. Manage the work order life cycle by completing scheduled work and recording resolution data in the maintenance management services database. Ensure that the work performed meets contractual and quality requirements for intervention as well as any other requirements. In the maintenance management services database, perform receipt, tracking, monitoring, and reporting of the status of maintenance and repair work. Create the documents in order to obtain official approval regarding the work required. Contribute to the implementation of the preventive maintenance program. Ensure deficiencies are identified, logged, and escalated, and maintain related documentation. Participate in installation-related projects. Ensure that work is performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines and those required by law, including environmental, health and safety, and protection against fires and other applicable requirements. Maintain all assigned tools and arrange for repair or replacement as required. Submit all expenses in a timely manner. Help improve tenant and client satisfaction and maintain positive relationships by ensuring quality workmanship and service delivery. Perform other assigned duties. Job requirements Be willing to work shifts; available to work on-call or on-call, and respond to emergencies when they arise. Strictly adhere to health and safety policies and processes, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 3-5 years of work experience in facility operation and maintenance High school diploma, and training attested by a certificate or license from a trade school Superior ability to follow and enforce facility operation and maintenance processes and practices Superior ability to maintain and repair building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, within policy and certificate limits Superior troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve problems with building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems Current knowledge of building, safety, life safety, and fire protection codes and standards, and ability to research and apply codes and standards Strong environmental, health, and safety mindset Ability to perform the job in a safe manner Excellent sense of customer service and strong understanding of the notion of urgency Effective communication skills to ensure the transfer, exchange, retrieval, and clarification of data Also : Be able to obtain the required security clearance, if required Valid driver's license, if required Demonstrate an interest in completing or starting one or more of the following accreditations, or having completed one, an asset: Building Systems Maintenance Certificate Systems Maintenance Administrator Systems Maintenance Technician Professional certificates or accreditations Qualification certificate or license in one or more of the following areas required: Journeyman-level refrigeration license. Gas Installer License I or II in addition to a Journeyman Level Refrigeration License Electrical License.
