Our growing company is currently looking to hire a Purchasing Agent to join our team, based out of our Calgary office.  The ideal candidate will be team-orientated, have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and initiatives, and is interested in growing personally and professionally with us. Responsibilities As our Purchasing Agent you will be responsible for: Assist Senior Purchasers in the management of orders and requests coming in from the field. Purchase all maintenance orders in the service management module. Collaborate with Senior Purchasers to understand and purchase hard dollar construction jobs. Create and bill direct sales efficiently. Conduct product research to gather pricing, availability, sourcing, and pursue cost savings where possible. Offer and provide product knowledge to customers. Process orders from start to finish by following established procedures while ensuring proper communication is followed. Ensure that the operating system data is accurate and up to date. Verify that all backorders are tracked and communicated efficiently. Confirm details of delivery according to scheduled times and commitment dates and ensure that information is communicated accordingly. Ensure inventory control procedures are in place and adhered to. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and clients. Arrange for the loading and transport of materials and supplies. Work closely with Junior Purchasers to ensure correct processes and procedures are followed and knowledge is passed on. Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental practices and procedures. Skills High School Diploma with 2 years directly related experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams. Attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle a variety of time-sensitive tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team. Ability to take initiative and learn new tasks quickly.
