Housekeeper
Job Description
This position is a part-time housekeeper with responsibility for cleaning the Residents' Rooms and Common Areas of the building. The hours will range from 0 to 40 per pay period. Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.
The position reports to the Environmental Services Manager and carries out the daily cleaning schedule independently throughout the day. Maintains all equipment in a clean and working fashion. Must have the ability to handle basic maintenance tasks if required.
Reports issues with equipment to management each morning through written log book. Monitors environmental safety conditions and handles all supplies in a safe and clean manner. Follows established policies and procedures of the housekeeping department.

Responsibilities
Keeping facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
Cleaning and stocking restrooms.
Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment.
Notifying managers of necessary repairs.
Collecting and disposing of trash.
Assisting guests when necessary.
Keeping the linen room stocked.
Properly cleaning upholstered furniture.
Skills & Requirements
Must be able to move heavy objects (up to 30lbs) and to stand, crouch, bend, kneel and be in good physical condition.
Must be able to follow written and oral instruction in the English Language.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to walk the residence's dog into the backyard nightly.
WHMIS training is an asset.
