Job Description
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You’ll be part of our Canada finance team supporting our Canada office on a broad range of finance activities. You will be based in either our Toronto or Montreal offices.
You will provide deep analytical support across financial and client-related areas to offices, practices, or other firm topics. You will help lead smaller projects and initiatives innovating on financial concepts and report design, generating new insights, and simultaneously deepening expertise related to firm financial concepts and policies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will lead smaller projects or internal initiatives regarding financial concepts, reporting developments, and/or skill enhancements leveraging analysts.
In this role, you will maintain a body of knowledge in areas of expertise and assess and communicate the impact of changes on practices and policies. You will create and enhance complex reporting models that include standard metrics and benchmarks that assist senior leaders in making strategic decisions.
You will help present insights on analyses and reports and serve as a thought partner to relevant leadership and assist in developing strategies to ensure that financial and/or client service information is accurately generated and effectively communicated. You will collaborate with internal clients for process improvements, business case preparation, overall project lifecycle activities, functional specification documents, and testing scenarios.
You will support professional development for junior colleagues, e.g. via project work or by building functional knowledge of the analyst peer group.
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree, preferably in finance; advanced degree helpful
5+ years of relevant experience
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred
Deep technical/functional knowledge as relevant (e.g., finance, accounting, audit, cash management, tax), an emerging spike in at least one area
Excellent analytic thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong management skills
Lead multiple projects and work collaboratively with others
Communicates in a clear, persuasive way that resonates with others, to command an audience
French speaker a plus, but not a requirement
