Our mission is to love and serve those who are experiencing homelessness, are marginalized, and/or exploited. We are looking for someone who is passionate to make a difference and help grow the organization in a healthy and meaningful way. Is that you? Duties and responsibilities: Understand and demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s mission and programs; Regularly attends board meetings and important related meetings; Contribute skills and knowledge by participating actively in meetings Participate in the outward-facing activities of Restoring Hope Ministries as organizational representatives, including fundraising activities, community events, and advocacy; Volunteers for and willingly accept assignments and complete them thoroughly and on time; Stays informed about committee matters, prepares themselves well for meetings, and reviews and comments on minutes and reports; Gets to know other committee members and builds a collegial working relationship that contributes to consensus; Is an active participant in the committee's annual evaluation and planning efforts; Keep up to date with issues and trends that affect the organization; Helps identify individual donors, corporations, and/or foundation gifts. Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications: Experience in decision-making, strategic planning, and policy development. Experience working with and/or understanding vulnerable populations. Excellent people skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Strong communication abilities. Expertise in some combination of program development, financial management, planning, fundraising, communications, legal services, and social and health services. Highest ethical standards, a strong sense of professionalism, and prepared to serve the interests of the shareholders. Commitment, as well as having, sufficient time to discharge his or her duties to the Board.
