As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical and engineering support to the Terminal Operations for Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) equipment. Changes and upgrades as well as E&I discipline expertise in support of large capital and major projects executed across the Distribution network. You will provide discipline leadership for all E&I system changes through the Management of Change (MOC) process. Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 10 or more years of experience in maintenance/reliability engineering, with experience in E&I engineering and high voltage electrical equipment preferred. Project Management expertise. Ability to clearly define complex multivariable problems. Proven stakeholder management and non-authoritative leadership skills. Responsibilities: Provide technical guidance to plant engineers in the management and stewardship of controlled E&I records. Lead technical excellence in Distribution through active participation in E&I Suncor Technical Excellence Networks (STENs). Lead small capital and expense projects that are primarily E&I-focused (motor upgrades, generator replacements, etc.). Provide E&I discipline expertise in support of major projects executed across the Distribution network. Collaborate with operations, vendors, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and enterprise technology to identify opportunities to standardize, align and minimize sparing of E&I equipment across the Distribution network. Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance with E&I equipment and infrastructure. Location and other Key Details: You will work out of our Calgary head office located in the Suncor Energy Centre (150 – 6th Ave SW). Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs Occasional business travel (10-15%).
