Industry Private Employment Type Full Time Work Hours 8 Hours Salary CAD 32 To CAD 37 Per Hour Location Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2G 0X8 Job Description The Mustard Seed is a certified Best Christian Workplace and seeks an experienced Health and Safety Analyst to help us serve the vulnerable population in our communities.  This permanent full-time role reports to the Chief People Officer and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting safety programs throughout. The organization leads to a COR level. They will also work collaboratively with the HR team as they provide leadership, analysis, metrics, and reporting to ensure Health and Safety is being compliant, effective, strategic, and in alignment with organizational objectives and legislation. The Health and Safety Analyst manages a large vision yet is accountable and able to break it down into small tasks, track progress, and follow-through. While working independently, success comes from the ability to work collaboratively across a decentralized model. Understand and support transformational initiatives, have a high level of accountability, and strong critical thinking skills, and manage a busy and dynamic workload. This role requires: Degree, diploma, or certificate program from a post-secondary and accredited institution in Occupational Health and Safety or Human Resources. A professional designation such as (CRSP, CHSO, or CHSC) would be an asset; a commitment to continued training and certifications. Minimum of three years of progressive health and safety experience. Experience in a non-profit sector, with a knowledge of the social service hazards. Strong knowledge and understanding of the Alberta OH&S Act and Regulations. Previous experience with developing a Health & Safety Management System. Strong organizational skills with effective multi-tasking skills managing multiple client groups. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver health and safety-related training. Ability to develop relationships throughout the organization and interact with the Executive Leadership Team. This position is based in Calgary but some travel may be required, so access to a vehicle is required. This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for company use. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and maintain $2M Vehicle Liability insurance on the vehicle being used.
